History of Marijuana Vaporizers

The history of marijuana vaporizers goes back to the 1970s, and it is believed that the Jamaican pipe was the first version of the vaporizer we know and use today. However, there is another theory that says that a vaporizer was invented in 1989 by Dr. Lunglife, who sent a manuscript describing how to build and use a marijuana vaporizer to the High Times magazine.
Without any scientific research and evidence, Dr. Lunglife explained how vaporizers are better for health than smoking. This text could be the first document promoting marijuana vaping over smoking.

A heating gun was used for THC vapor extraction in 1993 in California by a great cannabis activist of that time, Eagle Bill. During this very period, people started learning more information about the benefits of marijuana. Eagle Bill got inspired and invented his shake and vape and brought this hand-held vaping device to the 7th Cannabis Cup that takes place annually in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Forced air vaporization of marijuana was discovered later in the 1990s, and the Volcano vaporizer became the most popular vaping device in 1996. It was quite expensive as well; the price tag said $800 per piece.

Nowadays, dry herb/weed vaporizers come in all shapes, styles, materials and price ranges. Users can enjoy a wide choice of desktop vapes, portable vapes, and vape pens.
